Well I made it to 30 and I'm still alive. Being 30 isn't so bad. The worse thing about it is trying to survive all the heckling that comes before you turn 30. I think the intense badgering started about a month before my birthday and increased each day. Regardless, I made it.

My birthday was great. I celebrated for about a week. My sister Melissa and her husband Adam flew in from Florida to share my birthday with me. We hiked Multnomah Falls in Portland, went to Whidby Island in Washington and spent some time in downtown Seattle. Keep checking back for pictures about our trips. My husband threw me a great party with lots of friends, too much food and plenty of wine. I share my birthday with my great grandmother Ada Metzger, who lives in Florida so my family called while they were out celebrating her birthday.

Now everyone has gone back home and we're starting to settle down and get back into our routines. Luckily I won't have anymore monumental birthdays for 10 more years. The great thing is my husband and most of my friends will always be older!
